Clever stuff, Christians!
Saw this on a sign outside a church today:
GODISNOWHERE (NOW READ THAT AGAIN.)
Quite clever, no? But I'm not convinced that a word search, however ingenious, is ever going to change a single non-believer's mind.
Hmmm. One step above "CH RCH - what's missing?" or the slightly more oblique "CH CH - what's missing?"
My favourite (i.e. most cringey) "Come on in, we're actually really cool" church posters were outside a church on the South Circular (I used to live in Dulwich). They had a rather confused tactical one that said:
"With God, you are never the weakest link. Hello!"
But the one that went up and stayed up said:
"Let's meet, Sunday, before lunch. My house. - God."
Why anyone imagined this would attract a single convert is beyond me.
